Hi all,

My 323i has 225 - front and 245 - Rear 18" low profile (iirc). How many Km does it lasts from day to day driving and any members in JHB can provide relatively cost effective replacements? Thanks

E90, michelin pilot I think, driving home to work (24km per day) and have a go on the highway once in a while. Mostly just adhere to speed limit.

I had a preLCI E90 320i sportpack and on Bridgestone RFT's I did 78000km on the first set. Normal driving - It was a 320i afterall..................:fencelook:

mmmmm 2011 323i so it has to be on rft still.
Front tyres i reckon easily 60-70k km...

Rears - should last 30-40k km.

If you still on mp which i'm sure you are you will have to do RFT's and bmw approved RFT's at that.

do you have 17's or 18's on the car ?

runflat tyres - check on the side of yours it should be runflat tyres.

also now depending if you have narrow wide config tyres.

i know for a fact that the average rear tyre replacement for rft tyres sit at around 5k - again saying they BMW approved.

My 17's on my car is still RFT...
my 18's are normal tyres and normal tyres the hankook ventus v12 is around 2800 a tyre.

fronts are almost half the price.

Cool no worries :)
Also you will see no spare wheel. What i do suggest is get a mobility kit also for the car... just in case cause you wouldnt wanna drive around on the RFT flat cause you will 10 to 1 end up replacing it so the mobility kit has a little compressor in it and tyre stuff so if it's a puncture in the middle of the tyre or something you can fix it next to the road..
Any questionws please pm me :) will see where i can help :)

The benefits of RFT technology are apparent when you replace the tyres , they are not cheap .
It would be interesting to compare RFT verses normal tyres to see which gives better life .
Good luck .

When my wife had her 323i with 18's Michelin RFT its cost around R4200 per tyres to replace :flyfun:
I had to replace 3 tyres all below 10 000km due to damage when driving on jhb roads and down to dbn:thumbdo:. After the first R4200 I decided to go second hand Michelins.

I think RFT are terrible, mine is going to 40k now and rotated them recently, back are completely worn the front still have some life but not for long.

I generally drive hard though

Maybe its my driving style :biglol:

245/45/18 rft's are around R3200 each from the different brands..

My reno 235/40/18s for the same brands are R3000+-.. so dunno bout rft being much more..

Michelin in general are way above the others in price..
