I need to replace my Conti 225/45/17 tyres on my E46 323 Individual with a different brand. I am a bit of a speed freak, need tyres that offer good mileage, are great in the dry and wet, quiet and with 'sex' appeal. Anyone out there whose experience I can benefit/learn from?

Bridgestone Turanza = Good performance + mileage or Michelin

Check out the other tyre threads on this forum.

why are you wanting to move away from Conti's?

Previous set of sport contact 2's pulled away at the tyre wall, and the current sport contact 1's have developed a 'drumming' noise....thus lost confidence in the brand...pity, as are generally nice tyres...

I've been vey fortunate with my last two sets of Conti 2&3's. Mileage is a bit low though - with ya on that one freerider.:)

Which other decent quality/priced tyres are good to run on the BM's? When I still had the 15's I was on Michelins, but on the 17's they're a bit pricy.

Best bang for your buck option could also be Velocity from TSW. I had a set and they gave me excellent mileage, excellent performance in wet and dry and they looked good too! Apparently they are made for TSW by Bridgestone, if I'm not mistaken... Check them out!

I had some major traction problems with the Pirelli P6000's on the E46. The Michelins seem to sort the problem, though I would recon that Bridgestone is the first prize for me. (Potenza for sport and Turanza for allround performance + mileage)
