if That's true then that's one seriously quick seat TDI if its running front wheel drive. Mosted1 your car has the m57n motor right. whats the differences on the two m57 and m57n does it come down to ecu or hardware goodies as well.. coz both models has the gt2260 turbo..

wth are you lot on about?? did i ever say tdi's are faster than bmw diesels???
all i said is that the vw community (and not in sa for pete's sake!) have EXPERIMENTED far more than bmw owners have with modding diesels!!

must every thread turn into a who is the fastest?

this is of course besides the fact that if you argue about the injector sizing , you are arguing with BMW engineers, and the operating principles of the diesel engine.. better give them a call and show them the error of their ways..

hi Bud, I drive a 2006 330d my car is now running 160kw and 571nm on the wheels and that was after being mapped and the boost was lowered! you should check out ATC Tuning in Fishers Hill, Pino will work wonders for you!

Big difference between people posting on the forum and people that actually modded a Diesel with proof in the pudding as they say ! Im not thumb sucking info here !!!

@ Mario fastest CPI TDI did 14.1sec - came from a source at CPI crew.

Im out of this thread as i have no valuable info to share afterall i know crap about Diesels nor its working nor did any of the modifications nor did the times nor the dyno reads :lol:

Hey Mos1ted, yes you are correct, officially it was a 14.1 timed.

I got confused with their 1.8t (petrol polo). Unofficial best time for the tdi is 13.67, but that is not official so it doesnt mean much.

However a 14.1 for a 1.9tdi aint bad......

the topic was : how to proceed PAST A REMAP! but i guess they should just hire you with your heaps of experience, you could have gotten the 335d to 200kw without bigger injectors, different turbo's ect. and all that unnecessary crap eh? :)

im out of this thread too, help your buddy into the ditch, on reflection i realized that i dont really care..

No problem bud, i have heard that the induction systems and down pipes dont do much good for the diesels? havent done it on mine but im quite happy as she is.but let me know how you get on with your beast! :fishwack:

Consistency is what counts not one hit wonders ;)
I have asked Akatar many times to run me but he refuses.He is a really cool oke and i understand why he does not want to, Kinnear dont be a cheerleader for him as Akatar himself will tell you the differences between our cars , we both did lots of research and we both were aiming to beat the Yanks , not competition amongst us.

@Netercol or any other Diesel on this forum , lets go run on the road and we settle all this forum talk. My Diesel is modded needless to say and I know what was done and what was not done, unlike certain guys here on this thread im not reading other forums and making assumptions. I did the MODS on my car !

@ Kinnear on many occasions i gave you advise of what to do and what not to do etc , hell i even drove that other 330d of your mate and showed you guys first hand what to do. I suggest rather to pm me I will give you more info if you want.

To the other GOD of DIESELs here , lets talk on the ROAD and see if the theories you guys are googling works.

Sharing PERSONAL MODDING info is what is needed , any idiot can google and post.

First mod that any Diesel will need is to remove the cats and do downpipe. Once a cat is blocked it stuffs up the TURBO.

Doing downpipe aids in bringing down EGTs and aids in spooling up faster. The lower the EGTs the better

Once again get the right info not forum talks.

PS: EGTs = exhaust gas temperatures

it would actually be better to post all the info up here on the different builds... im sure there is more than one way to do this...

if you guys post it here everyone can see and decide for themselves what it best for them...

just dont take it as a personal attack if someone wants to do it differently to they way you did it...

what you just dont seem to be able to see past your enormous ego is what im trying to tell you what those GODS OF BMW TUNING, BWM THEMSELFES!!! did to create higher output diesels..

lol, google indeed.. hell im still laughing :)

ps. and your not the only one that has modded your own car, lots of others here have too, including me :)
