They are also probably the only company I would trust to recon a turbo in SA especially a garret turbo. Although Andy1GP also knows some one good to recon a turbo.

Hope you get sorted soon.

You can get a brand new Garrett turbo from Turbo Exchange in Joburg including manifold for around 9k.

I want place who could remove turbo send to turbo exchange and refit. In that case if there is problems its between turbo repairs and workshop.

The previous guy who did turbo said is the guy who install en the guy who installed the turbo said its faulty turbo.

Now i lost R11000 no car and still broken turbo.

So i want to take the car and just want to collect when finish.

Or at the moment a 2lt petrol and lighter could work just as well.
Thanks for feed back

Turbo Exchange will ship to you

I spoke to turbo exchange in Cape Town today they say worst case scenario would be R5000 for recon. I am willing to pay.
But now the people who remove and fit ask me R2000 labor plus they add abit to turbo repairs and they replace gaskets each time.

Bought feed and return pypes new from bmw

I understand what you're saying but turbodirect is your best bet IMO.

Out of curiosity was the mechanic who fitted your turbo RMI registered?

Turbodirect is not a small company they will honour your warranty. Just make sure its fitted by an RMI workshop as it at least holds some ground.

Don't go for another dodgy rebuild as you're probably going to land in the same situation you've found yourself in.

Do not DIY unless your are exceptionally technical and a DIY "master".

TurboDirect has the correct goods. G-Drive are slightly cheaper though. I asked for a quote on my GT2260v Turbo which is R11990 ex vat. G-Drive it's Just over R12k.
