TURBO LAG? or is it normal?

I own a 2012 118i (F20/AUTO)... when pulling off in sport mode, my turbo only seems to kick in @ around 3000rpm... is this normal? It feels like it has a delayed reaction/lag.

only delay was when i put my foot flat on a roll, the auto box kinda takes a breath and then goes.

I am experiencing the same lag with my 118i Auto on pull away and thought it was normal. But would need to drive another 118i auto to compare.

It is due for its first service soon and i will ask BMW to check if all is ok.

my wife has the 118i Auto, and i have not noticed any serious turbo lag

My vehicle went in last week for a recall/reprograming, since then i dont really notice anymore turbo lag. :rollsmile:
