I just just tuned my brand new F30 320 M sport.
Huge gains on this car. It's now stronger than a F30 - 328.
I'm glad I didn't pay extra for 328

Hmmm, well a guy on the forum (Midas320d) popped his stock, untuned turbo at 41kkm, so lets hope you are luckier, since yours won't be covered by motorplan anymore.

You don't seem to be concerned about the lack of Motorplan which BMW will most certainly cancel once the car goes for the first service.

All my BMW cars have been tuned.

My E92 335i coupe, My E90 - 325i tuned previously with no issues.
Been serviced many times at BMW.

The F30 has already been to BMW with no issues.
If you use the rights software- its undetectable.

320i or 320d?

nice power, but I dont agree with this statement in bold. if you had bought the 328i, you would have similar power without the need to modify. if you modify your cars, then had you bought the 328i you would have a monster. its all relative. no need to alienate those that have bought the 328i. Lets face it, they have a better platform to tune.

If your turbo goes, they will most certainly know it has software. They do not do diagnostics on regular services, despite them being supposed to do so. boost over certain limits for extended times will show up in the error log, so it will be easily detected. With the right software that can be fixed, but if they do a checksum on the coding, they will know it is not BMW software...

If I ever had to do an upgrade on the F30, it would be the ACS route, expensive, but peace of mind would be more important.

Josh, I am not sure you can get that much more power out of a 328i. The 320i and 328i has exactly the same motor, turbo, intake and injectors. So tuned, they should make the same power with the same software map, excluding any hardware mods. :dunno:

I sincerely hope that BMW do not pick up your new software, because they will suspend your M/P if they as much as suspect that it has been tuned.

I'm sorry that it's me AGAIN who expresses his doubts

So many people believe they are cleverer than two multi billion Rand companies i.e. BMW and BOSCH or Siemens (depending on ECU) :nonono:

Fingers crossed and good luck with your MP

Auto.
Car was done by Chiplogic in Kyalami.

Nice

I'm sure you're loving the power gains
Just do a research and see what's the maximum torque that those gearboxes can handle. I see the F30 328i produces 180kw @5000rpm and 350NM. Now I'm not sure if these cars share the same Gearbox, if not, have a look at this.

Enjoy your new found power.
Will make sure I lookout for you
