Trailer fog light failure

When I connect my caravan electrical cable to my X1 F48 - I keep getting 'Trailer fog lamp failure' warning despite all the caravan lights working normally, has anyone else had this problem or have any suggestions.

Perhaps your trailer doesn't have fog lights. Hence the error?

Although I would think bmw would be smarter than that.

You quite right there are no fog lights on this caravan or any others as far as I know, this seems to be the issue, although its strange that nobody else has had this issue - surely I'm not the only one towing with a X1? There must be a way to disable this on the BMW software, the guys at BMW seem to be totally inexperienced with this issue. Very frustrating.

Maybe you could bridge the pin for log light with running lights. So it fools it
