I can safely say that 21 September 2011 was one of the worst days of my life, my 525i E39 was hijacked late that evening on Marine Drive, Bluff. The hooligans blocked the road in front with a tow truck and before we knew it there was car at the back from which an armed guy approached.
Thank god no-one was hurt, they didn't even ask for wallets or cell phones all they were interested in was my car.
On 10th October 2011 I received a call from the Police car pound to say they recovered the car, but it was burnt, to what extent they could tell me. An hour later I arrived at the pound, they could not locate the vehicle in their own depot, after walking around the entire pound, (those of you that have been to the Isipingo Pound will know how big that plot is), we were proceeding back to the Officer in charge when I turned to the right and saw something that looked shaped like an E39, and there it layed, it was burnt so badly that they had to turn the car over to confirm the VIN on the chassis itself.
