Tracking forum issues

Hi Fanatics​

After the last upgrade of the forums we are still left with a long list of issues to sort out. The testing didn't highlight this to me and for that I apologize.

We are here now and we can't turn the upgrade back without losing all the posts created after. So the way forward is to test the current state of the forums on a test server to find a fix for every issue before making changes to the live website. This allows you to continue posting.

Known issues:

• Rep(reputation) button not working
• MyBB Internal: One or more warnings occurred. Please contact your administrator for assistance.
• Memberlist search not working
• Some members cant load emojis
• Dialogue box had extra features...like adding hyperlink etc...those are missing
• New user signups not working, website states spam. For now an email can be sent to [email protected] to get registered
• Edit button doesn't work. Can right click open in new window to get to editor as work around.

If you encounter any issue not listed above, feel free to add them to this thread and I will add them to the list to be resolved.

My current investigation shows there is an issue with javascript on the website, so anything that relies on that is currently not functioning as expected.

Hi Webmaster.

1. When on a desktop, and you hover the mouse over a thread title, it used to display some of the first post's content. Doesn't show up anymore. The same goes for the last post of the thread, the last post content doesn't show

2. The Report button does not work.

There was another item or 2, but I can't remember now.

Your new user registrations appear to be working, however it seems they can choose multiple usergroups to assign themselves to as I'm sure the newbies listed below do not meet the criteria to become ///Members:

Participated thread, link load a filter/search page. If I press just press search, shows new page loading but nothing load. I can select anything else on the page either once I have press search. Need to close window and restart.

Various across Chrome, Firefox and Edge

1. Participated threads doesn't work.
2. Smilies don't work even if you put them in line (parsing doesn't work).
3. Video - haven't been able to get it to work for me anyway (I saw a few youtube embeds work though).
4. Rep doesn't work.
5. Likes sometimes work and sometimes just never 'register' for specific posts (not linked to a specific user).
6. View todays posts and View New Posts sometimes shows up empty.
7. Quoting text is hit and miss - sometimes it loads, sometimes it doesn't

this was by far my favorite feature.
obviously helps continuing on posts that you have shown interest in already.

I found when trying to send PMs, if I start typing a name in recipients, it no longer provides a list of suggested names, or any names at all for that matter.

Workaround is to find a post from that person, click on their profile, then the link to send a PM

Used to work fine, has not been working fine for a long ass time. Requests for more patience & time from management. Maintenance issues etc
