Drove down to dbn for the holidays... avg of 5.7l/100km on the way down. Been running around since I got here on Saturday on the same tank. Range showing 190km remaining after doing about 650km odd.
This include 2 dyno runs at Experience Exhaust Dyno where the car made a healthy 217kw 645nm @ the wheels.
Twinz - Rowen has a spare set of akrapovic c.f. tail pipe slip ons. It's perfect for my car. But he won't sell or give *hint hint*
Rolf - yeah... would love Mr Atkinsons c.f. tail pipes.

So today I had to pick up family from the airport and had the chance to drIve my uncles E92 335i with unnamed software. It's manual...
my cousin drove my car and well, we had some fun. We had a rolling run from 4th gear and the 335i held a 3-4 car gap n front of the diesel. We also had a couple from the line runs and the diesel held 2-3 cars all the way to 2xxkm/h. All on a private test track we came across on our way to King Shaka. We swapped drivers and had the same result.

So as you can see, i did a bit of travelling this festive season.
Left on the 15th December for DBN, where we spent a few days with my parents and sisters. Lots happened, 2 dyno days, 1st at one and 2nd at the other with another Fanatic in the lead (MSM). I became an uncle, again. Our family grew as my baby sister got engaged and my wifes brother also got engaged. Had thee most relaxing holiday ever, spent a few days in Balito, Margate, Wild Coast and most of the time in Central Durban.
Did just short of 3000km's in 2 weeks, 3 tanks of Diesel, from home to home. Average of 5.7l/100km, reset it before i left on the 15th. This includes quite a few runs in DBN. I was called out by an E46 M3 at the First dyno day, handed it to him. Then i had a couple runs with my uncles 335i. Was fun and enjoyable on the PVT race tracks.
I am really impressed by my Diesel, not a beat skipped, always ready to rock and roll. Boot loaded, even loaded the front footwell on occassion and she smiled as she pulled along. Very happy... From Durban to Wild Coast, there was 5 people and luggage and not a complaint about space or ride comfort from any of my passengers, i even sat in the back on the way back and i slept like a baby. The only thing that broke was the strap on the Portable DVD player.
