Tired of being challenged by 135/335 drivers - mods?

Hey guys,

I have a stock standard e92 M3...whenever i stop at a robot...especially at night, and a 135 or 335 pulls up next to me..they want to dice..

Having read and watched some clips, i know that on pull away the x35's are strong...but frankly i'm bloody tired of that initial couple of hundred metres where i play catch up! ( i know on pull away - the driver, not the car makes the difference)...but just when i get to grip with the x35, the road either curves, stops etc...its never as ideal as it would have been on a track...

Anyways, i always leave feeling like i got whooped!

Now, before you answer and say "forced induction", i wanted to know whether just a chip and exhaust mod will be suffice? IM not looking to radically mod my car...but i want to wipe the smirks off their bloody faces!

Thanks
Marek

You get 35's that are running around that are high 12sec cars. To beat those with a chip and a exhaust you virtually going to have to be driving around with race fuel and a finely tuned map to stay with them in the first three gears.
The average modded 35's you should be able to run with chip and exhaust with a high enough rev limiter and good launches.

It does not matter what you do to your M3 V8 car, if it does not have supercharger you will lose against my 335. :fencelook:

Well maybe some gass will help you...!

Jump the opponent,if he reels you in,tap the brake and claim the win:rollsmile:

You should be able to free up some power with xhorst and software,i think the other thing is to learn how to launch that M like a bat outta hell, that may give you the edge.

Hangon hasn't the M3 e92 have launch control even on the manual's

I watched it on Top Gear once

You should be able to jump infront of them with that

The thing that is against you is that its hard to find a stock 35 these days and if they challenging you they must know they can win

lol! There is an E92 M3 driver in Durban who is feeling just like you tonight Jab! between 100-160 I had to tap off to avoid running into the back of him.

M3 is still the MUCH better car, but value for money, the x35i just cant be beat.

(I do have a JB3 though with no other mods)

Tell the 135i driver to follow you to the nearest on ramp to the highway and do a top end run.

You have a power to weight disadvantage.
