Timing chain and guide change

Hi

I have a 2014 F30 BMW with 24**KM on the clock and I am due for an oil service in the next 1000Km.
I would like to do a Timing chain and guides replacement as well during that service  :fencelook: . I am looking at advice from someone that has done this out of the plan and has some indication of costs. I am currently in talks with TUNE TECH but I doing some research before committing.

Regards

Hey bud!

I think it is around R3100 for the full timing chain kit, then you need to add 2-3 hours of labour... (Labour = +-R600 per hour at good service centers). Note these prices above are all excluding VAT

Did mine with Greasemonkey Motorgarage in Centurion. I can really recommend them! Did me a good deal as well.

The prices above might be a bit old as I think the resale value for the kits have jumped a bit.

Rather get this done sooner rather than later. The amount of damage this timing chain problem can do on these motors is crazy.

Thanks, WianF30 I have started the process with GreaseMonkey and I will update once the work is done.
