Throwing Stars Refurbed!

YES!!!!! E28's on Throwing stars are a thing of beauty...mind you, the throwing stars look good on many models E34's, E28's, E36's, E21's.. the list goes on...provided they are staggered.

I have been looking for a staggered set for so long now, and most of the time all that comes up are sets that are all narrows:cry:

So if anyone knows a) if a staggered set of throwing stars fits on an E36 sedan and b) anyone who is selling, please let me know because they are gorgeous!!!!:inlove:

Nice job sir!

One awesome rim for sure. Nice work there. Its worth the money spent.

I have them on my E36 Vert. Only problem i find is the notes stuck on the car everytime i go out shopping with the car. Also contemplated getting them sprayed like you have...so undecided...:bangdesk:

Look Beautiful on the e36! People say they dont fit because of the offset, but I think they reduce the gap perfectly!

Thank you! Staggered sets are probably even rarer in this country, Ive yet to see a set, but yes they do fit e36's

I see a set every day :tease:

No they dont really fit e36s unless your definition of fitting is rubbing

Haha Ford Koppie! Does that mean you have a set on your e34?
Lucky Bastard!

The only staggered set I've seen was of an e31 different offsets to the e34 staggered.

Suppose im more into the stance look for e36's, they fit with skinnier tyres, I think these guys run 205/40/17 for the fronts, dunno for the Wides at the back

Staggered sets are rare, but they are around...

Well if anyone has closer pics of the fitment on an E36, please post them so i can have a close look. Obviously it must be a standard staggered set...

e34 T - Stars offsets are

20 mm offset in the front (8 X 17)
22 mm offset in the rear (9 X 17)

E31 T - Stars are
10 mm offset in the front (8 X 17)
19 mm offset in the rear (9x17).

So I would imagine only the Rear would fit e34's + e28's etc?
I would kill for those! Just the fronts are pretty useless on anything other than a e31? or not?

BY THE WAY :inlove:

"Throwing stars" ...is that what they are referred to as? :fencelook:

Better than "shooting stars" haha, I know they are m system 2's , just they are more commonly referred to as throwing stars

Indeed, i know they are a lot rarer, wont get into the technicalities, but rick540 has been looking for years, and I just managed to get the turbines just before Rick, they deserved to be on an e34 m5 and so they are, sentiments of the seller and myself. Plus think the t stars are better on the e28.

But watch this space, looks like ive found dome turbine covers :joy:

You got a good heart bud :) I'm sure rick540 must be over the moon, I know his been searching 4turbines 4ages now...

The throwing star's do look good on the e28 , something that follows a bmw trend where the older gen looks better with the newer gen mag's...

They say lightning doesn't strike the same spot twice, so if u do get another set of turbines u are seriously one lucky guy :)

Post some pic's when u fit them onto ur ride

I am seriouly happy with the turbines :inlove:

As much as I loved the throwing stars I still wanted the original turbines to put on on an original E34 M5 (BB77214) which originally shipped with turbines from the factory, so they have definitly been put to their intended use.

I admit they dont look nearly as cool as the stars but their function over form is awesome and I am an originality nut, so it works for me

Lol there I used the "originality" word four times

Thanks

Just needs a bit of a Drop, but I need $$ right now haha, so drop will have to wait.

And before the drop will need some spacers, not too confident with how close the inside of the front wheels are to the strut tower.
