***Warning*** The following post contains some of my own opinions, read at your own peril and anyone is free to dissagree.
It is really sad to read things like this, especially the medical waste one, but to me it is not surprising at all that these kinds of things happen in our society. After all we do live in a society that allows the killing and disposing of unborn babies, who really has the authority to deside the threshold for consiousness in a living being and to deside whether it is murder or not. If one person (or body of persons) has the right to deside in such matters why should anyone not have this right, when in actuality no-one has this right.
And before it seems that I am some kind of bleed heart liberal I would just like to add that things like human rights are one of the main causes for our modern society becoming even more barbaric than those of our forefathers.
One of the strange things about our society is the fact that if parents are unable to have children naturally and they want to adopt a child there are a lot of processes etc. to determine there fitness as parents to have a child yet there is nothing of this like to determine whether people that can have children naturally are fit to be parents. It is almost like we as a society are punishing those people that can't have children, because somehow it has to be their fault.
