Every person who has an EA888 platform always swears to keep it stock or away from the natural bolt-ons unless they are 50 and over....

Downpipe, Stage 2 and Intake is the safest and most fun on these platform without going big and causing hassles.

You will love it and these TT's have a great exhaust note think due to the shorter exhaust length but they sound so good!

Thanks for the info, and yea i been reading up a lot on this, and also countless Youtube clips on the subject too. will see what the future holds. With the current mileage, id like to get a hold of Carbon Doctor in Paarden Eiland for a carbon clean, as i see its direct injection. and no history of it being done.

Having went from the 240 into the 8Y RS3 and now back into a 140, I can honestly tell you that you will definitely miss the M6 and BMW ownership overall and it would only be a matter of time until you find yourself back in a BM. But having read your thread and understanding how you felt in the end, it definitely was a logical decision to make.

I'm a big fan of the TT though, and this looks really awesome. It reminds me of what a baby R8 would look like.

Oh 100% agree, i would of loved to get into an M235i, saw a few for sale, but my limitation was having the M6 to trade in. but i will get my way to the BMW stable in the future, there is no question on that.

I have noticed the car picks up speed pretty quick, at around 120 i feel some slight vibration in the car, very slight, but i did notice the rear drivers wheel has a big knock on the rim, must of hit a beeeeeg pothole previously, i'm trying to workout if these wheels are aftermarket or OEM, as i cant find info on Audi wheels online like i can with the BMW wheels.


I would like to put a set of gold/bronze O.Z Ultralegerra wheels on the car in the future, as im not the biggest fan of the current wheels, but they'll do for now

Not sure if it's just a bad quality Pic or not but look at the door to fender gap along the body crease, then the door to side skirt gap looks wonky and the bumper to fender looks a smidge outta place.

Yea im aware of the Spoiler being aftermarket, the actuator is too weak to lift the spoiler now as it's too heavy. Ill code it out, as im sure it will kill the actuator.

It's just the photo for the sideskirt/door gap. As well as the crease area, im not sure why it came out like that, but it was a screenshot of another photo, and I cropped it. So it's not a proper resolution image. Ill upload more.

However, the bumper to fender, yes there is a slight misalignment there, but I'll sort that out, im not sure if the bumper is plastic or fiberglass, I doubt it's an oem bumper. But I'll do some digging.

A little bit of an update which I think is a cool little win.

I went to Audi Century City to ask about the DSG service cost, they estimated about R6500. And with it supposed to be scheduled every 60k km. They don't have a clear history on my car. And with my car already on 149k km, they didn't think I should wait fir the 180k km service mark to do it.

So they did me a solid, and said they would reactivate the expired Freeway Plan from 100 000km for the remainder of the "extended" plan as favour, which is set to expire at 150 000km or Jan 2026, so that gives me full plan for my next service provided it's done before 150 000km. They said the prorated cost for me for the reactivation would be R6700.

So this will mean they will give me the full 150k km major service of Oil, Plugs, all filters, Brake Fluid, Ribbed belt, cabin cleaner etc, plus also do the DSG Service included for me.
The estimated costs of everything if paid cash is about R23k.

The bonus is, they will allow me to keep the plan activated if I purchase the freeway plan extension for services going forward. So I may look at extending it for another 2years or up to 180 000km. They said they will offer me a better rate than the usual extension costs.

This means the TT gets a full service history up to date.
I'm pretty impressed with how they handled it. Not a bad introduction to the audi platform.
So the car is booked on Wednesday next week to have it all done

Funny enough, I'm was thinking earlier to look for an R8 just to test ride for interest sake. To see if the hype is indeed worth it. I have the M6 as a benchmark (tough to beat in all honesty)

The R8 is a proper sports car and although the M6 is a machine it is my opinion that the R8 is in a different league in terms of the way it delivers power and negotiates the twisty bits.

Seriously nothing comes close to a mid mounted car.

That is amazing from the dealer and really what you need after your ordeal. Always a light at the end of the tunnel.

R8 will be fantastic and should outshine the M6 in many ways being in Supercar territory.
