Take it to another dealership

We got similar service for our E60 & E46 at Another dealership.. Cars have to go back 3 or 4 times for them to fix simple problems..

the E60 was there for over 2 months, & they still did not fix all the problems, went in again this week & got it back yesterday & still not all problems fixed..

They are trying everything to try and fix it because if they don't they have to replace the engine which is going to cost them big bucks for an M3, tell them that is enough is enough and get them to replace the engine.

get you car out... come back that night... set fire to the dealership... then find another one...

if the same thing happens start the process over :)

hellopeter is a total waste of time to attract any attention form BMW, BMW is listed as one of the companies who does not respond to complains/compliments on hellopeter. it is good for a consumer who does his homework, but else....

Please call Mr Rob Gearing, he is the technical manager and all this kind of problems falls under him:

If it's Vanos related it shouldn't be fixed rather replaced with a new unit, the stealerships can't repair them. A while back mine was leaking oil and when i took the car in, the service manager immediately ordered a new one without even touching the motor. He said that it cannot be repaired and must be replaced as per BMW SA.

Your best bet is to take the car to another dealer.

This is the time that you say to them if they cant get it right, you are insiting on a complete box motor.....

BMW never respond:cursin: if they do its to late. If they continue to give you hassles try maybe the ombudsman for the motor industry. I heard only good things though about JSN BMW on William Nicol

Bruma / Lyndhurst / Sandton....avoid at all cost - if you can get to Auto Alpina Boksburg - thats the way to go. Try and get to speak to luis.

Bruma should only work on Fords,
Lyndhurst dont even know you came in,
Sandton are more worried about going for Latte.
And I would rather not talk about Northcliff.

I had problems with Bruma Auto when I had my 335i coupe - 2007 model - one of the first I was told - It would display an engine warning light and the power would be cut down to 50% ie: limp mode. I was told that because the model was so new there were no spare parts or some sort of nonsense.

To cut a long protracted story short, I contacted BMW International Client Services, BMW SA Client Services and the Dealer Principal of Bruma Auto.
I was given an almost new 335i sedan sportpack to drive until my 335i was ready. I got my 335i back eventually and the problem was gone...for a while, it reapeared but fortunately my replacement car was due to arrive shortly.
Good luck:thumb:
