Cool update dude, if you don't have an interior removal kit already....order one. They help massively when ding removal jobs on the car.
Secondly, my car I kept OEM+ if you want to call it that...I would day remove the white roof and carnards...get an MPerf front spoiler to give the car a new look, it really REALLY transforms the look of the M135i.

With the wheels, stay with gloss black or try the CS colour I had on my CS wheels. THey go well with many additions on the cosmetic side...although the M2 CS gold wheels are really something else too!!! Have been seeing a few cars recently, the CS models also have a good colour too....maybe they will work well?

Send a video on the braaap activation :)
I got the kit after battling with the damn mirrors to pop out :ROFLMAO:

What front spoiler are you referring to? Mind linking it? I've got the 3-piece one on at the moment.

Will post the Braaap the moment I get a breather lol. I'll be honest, it's still not an M Braaap, if you set it to long, it sounds kak and artificial, the best is set to short. It has been tested though, running with a straight pipe makes it sound the best. The other noise to note too is the anti-lag sound, when I get a gap I'll post them all for you guys. Also have a dedicated map to turn into a POS popper should it ever be needed or when a Cauliflower head asks me again why it can't pop... even this is set to minimum duration. Main map is how my car has been all along OEM burble 0.2 duration. 2 is medium with short duration 0.4. 3 is the POS with aggressive 0.6 duration (I honestly don't know how people can slide this past 1 second, some people using 2.5 seconds fml. Then map 4 is 60% reduced power, no burble, no nothing, the daily cruiser.

Heya gents,

Long time no see. I thought I’d share what’s new, how the plan evolved and where this ride is headed.

1. Sequential Indicators

  1. Installed blacked‑out sequential indicators. YouTube makes it look easy, but removing mirrors after years of sitting there turned into a wrestling match. Both mirrors shattered on extraction, like kak in ’n wolkombers.
  2. Passenger side replaced; driver side on order and should arrive next week.
  3. Verdict: they match the car’s look perfectly, but I hate not seeing the flash inside because the new mirror edges don’t light up. I might revert to stock.

2. Performance

  1. After stints at Wulf and Xcede for tuning, I was torn about switching to MHD.
  2. Reached out to a European tuner to nail down the hardware path. The plan is a BorgWarner S257 bottom‑mount kit targeting 550 to 600 whp. Bottom‑mount keeps the engine bay looking OEM‑clean, which I love.
  3. This morning I finally bit the bullet with MHD. I ordered the VAG adapter yesterday, it showed up today, and within 20 minutes I was running.
  4. MHD perks include map switching for every mood, brap and anti‑lag on tap, plus logging that actually tells you what’s happening. Running an S2+ map feels noticeably quicker than Xcede’s. Full disclosure: if I’d told Ash I didn’t care about stock turbo safety limits, they could have hit similar power I guess. But now that I’m here, I’m stoked.

3. Cosmetics

  1. The black roof has become skoolgelde. I want an OEM‑plus look again (I think, idk): remove the wrap, lose the canards (even though they help with the 763 19" wheels), and decide on wheel color. Gloss black, paint‑match white or standard silver.
  2. Work’s been hectic so the car’s been parked more than driven, which makes cosmetic overthinking even worse.

What’s Next

  • Finalise the mirror decision once the driver side arrives.
  • Lock in the hardware timeline for the BorgWarner kit. This year or next, it’s happening.
  • Pick a wheel finish and either peel the wrap or commit to the black roof.
That’s the latest from my corner. Thoughts, feedback or wild recommendations are welcome. Always helps to hear your take.
That’s my plan also relating to the MHD. I will get the version without the OTS maps though. Get the 95 tune done and one with E30 tune with the current hybrid turbo setup I have. The fuel pump is getting upgraded this year also before the MHD retune is done. Just deciding between the DS15 or DS25 pump.

Excede will retune my car again also. Not a fan of OTS maps. Just want the map switching on the fly which MHD does well. Then I wait for the turbo to pack up and get a bottom mount or Pure turbo 750 for the OEM look.

Thanks man! The front looks VERY similar to the 3 piece I have on now though, my debate on this for a while now is why fork out 5-10k for a change that's not that big, won't the spend be better on a M2 front bumper and CS bonnet maybe?

The super license is worth every penny bud, I had the same idea of just buying what I needed but the tuner made a point in mentioning that it's not just OTS maps you need to think about, it's on the fly switching to stock, less power for a road trip maybe etc, the super just unlocks the capabilities of doing what you wanna do, be it custom remote tunes or whatever with no limits.

I'm getting my first remote custom tune this weekend, on my second day of logging now and the car is healthy as could be. For the first time she goes harder for longer. With me being able to select my setup for the coils etc and being able to switch the coolant into sport, IAT goes down rapidly after every pull and we only see timing pulls after 7-8 concurrent hard runs. This is hard driving and out of the norm for me but even after just one day, it's been a game changer.

My actual focus on a custom tune will only come with the Turbo kit and HPFP, other than that it's a tad overkill and I notice that now, after spending LOADS on the understanding of it all.
