Tailgate Inner Light Fuse

Hi guys

I'm in the process of sorting out some condensation issues in my inner tail lights. However as one of the electrical connectors for the interior light of the tail gate would not come off easily by hand I used a pair of pliers. This somehow caused a short in the connector which has blown a fuse. Does anyone know what is the fuse number for the interior tailgate light. I think it is 99 & 121. I've had a look at the fuse map & it's like reading Greek.

Found it :joy: For those who it may interest - X5 owners - it is fuse number 110 which is a 7.5A fuse located in the rear of the car.

well done, I read your "plea", but coudn't add anything constructive, except that I know the location of various fuses on my E39.

For a moment the "arching" you got from mis-handling with the pliers, actually had me worried that you blew some micro-electronics elsewhere on the car.

glad it sorted

I managed to narrow it down from the 2 possible fuse diagrams and checked 2 fuses before finding the one that was blown. It was an easy fix and am glad the wiring did not get damaged. Tomorrow I will fit my tail lights back on and will post in the relevant thread.
