Sway bar Mount stud

Hi guys

One of the studs that holds the mount bracket for the sway bar snapped off on my e36. Will it be possible to remove the stubby and fit a new stud or will this type of repair need welding?

The stud im refering to holds number 3 in place

if the stud broke and the threads on the hole are fine then just get a new stud

Took her to supaquick now and had it fixed. The stud is not really removable and is originally fitted from inside the rail...Fix involved drilling through the stubby and welding on a new stud...Looks pretty clean and car feels much better through the turns...best of all, no more "clunk" when I turn right
