Hi all,

Planning on replacing shocks at the end of the month and wondering what else i should be checking/replacing at the same time?

Car is an E90 with sports suspension and 120 000kms on the clock.

Appreciate the feedback

What shocks are you putting on? Please don't say Monroe or Gabriel.

Everything should be checked. All bushes must be inspected. Not worth changing anything if it's not broken. And whatever bushes are bad you must so both sides.

Koni, bilstein, high quality products for a high quality car. Konis entry level shocks are only slightly more than monroes and they are much much better. Sure you've had no problems. But you haven't experienced Konis now have you? It's in a different league, even their entry level shocks.

Thanks DieselFan.

Well, u=i can get Gabriels at a pretty good price. They're a well established brand. Surely they cant be that bad?!?!

No they're not bad. But these are smaller companies who don't have big budgets for proper r&d. How much are the Gabriels?

Pm moranor for a price on koni str.ts . They're a little more expensive but it is definitely worth the investment!

What e90 is this for? If you drive spiritedly then definitely get the Konis.

Get KONI STR.Ts from Moranor, will cost you only about a grand more than the Gabriels. I fit them on Tuesday (OEM shocks were completely shot), car is gliding over bumps now no problems.

R500 more. Well that's a no brainer. Daniel there is nothing wrong with monroes and I had read good things about them last night. But Konis are just that much better. And I'm sure the monroes suit your need perfectly.

I think some modifications need doing with the e36 for koni yellows?

e36 M3 fronts are inserts that use the original shock housing all the rest are just bolt on :) dont know why Koni decided to do that for the e36 M3...
