Sunday Drive

So we spent the week-end in Strand, and upon leaving to head home, we decided to take a little detour, through Grabow, along the R321 past Villiersdorp, through Worcester and on to Paarl via Du Toit's Kloof Pass, where we had a quick picnic and eyed the views of the first snow on the mountains. Had the cam in the boot, and just had to capture a few pics. As can be seen I'm running with the style 66's again. I like them as they are lighter than the 32's. Probably as they are "M" alloys? Was a great drive.

Must say dude, I love your car. I almost baught one, a 528i when I baught my car, only reason I didn't was my car had 36k on the clock and motorplan till 2010, and the 528i had 98k on the clock and no motorplan.
In the future I think my next bmw will most likely be a 5 series, E60 upwards.

I dont think that those pics are real. Probably taken off some online magazine or something similar................

Now now, dont jump down my throat. My statement above is because of pure jealousy, and the fact that youve got an awesome car, and some talent with a camera.

Awesome..... pure Awesome.....

Awesome ride Greg. This is why we have drivers' cars :)

We must have missed each other on the way. I went for a drive to Hermanus and back on Sunday. Saw two cars during the day that stuck in my mind. One was a E39 with sportpack and the sweetest dished rims and the other car was a 7 (E65) with a very tasteful sportpack

Awesome...imo one of the nicest E39's around and I still think the 66's are the better wheels....

Man I miss Cape Town and the surrounds for those Sunday Drives... Used to do whole Kommetjie, Simons Town, Chapmans route at least once a month, just for the pleasure of driving my car.

Stunning car Greg!

Hey guys! Shot for the awesome comments! Coming from a discerning crowd as the fanatics are is awesome. :praise: The pics were taken with an old humdrum 5MP Sony H9. I think the lighting (partly cloudy) and the nice shadows from the tree helped make the pics look quite cool.
I do quite a bit of riding around the Cape Peninsula on my old '98 Honda Blackbird, and it never ceases to amaze me how awesome this part of the world is and never to take it for granted. @ Shiraz - Awesome pics dude. Just goes to show, even Winter in CT can be breathtaking when the sun comes out.

As for the E39...maybe let Clarkson explain...(watch to the end)
