Stop Rape

Hi guys, on my way home I was listening to 5FM and they had a stop rape effort on the go.... the chief man from Lead SA guaranteed that this is only the start and it would be a continuous effort to bring awareness and they have a number of ideas they are working on...

South Africa is the rape capital of the world, with a rape reported every 4 minutes. What a country we live in. It is said that almost all efforts to create awareness on this subject is done by women... so where are the men? maybe not enough of the guys making a stand!!

Hence the reason for my post, what can we do to.... now, I know we cannot go and put these bastards to a nasty end... so what to do??

How about we, the Fanatics community, do a county wide awareness rally... of course each state will do their individual rallies..

Now I don’t have masses of connections but maybe, as a joint effort we can get some of the branding and wrapping guys on board, maybe some tuners.... brand our cars with clear STOP RAPE signs, contact number for crime watch and other help lines, do a slow rally.. get 5FM / newspapers on board to, with their team set up a couple of stops.

This is an important cause we need to give our support to.

I'm working in Africa & it is very worrying to leave your loved ones at home, with these kind of reports on the daily news of 'sickened animals' being classified as human beings living in our country amongst us, doing this to women!!! :banghead:

Guys, no one person will organize this, a joint effort is required here... if that means we have to go round collecting all the off cut wrapping from places like green sky and make our own lettering and numbering, then that is what we have to do...

I know a lot of the Gauteng guys are dong a ice cream / milkshake meet tonight, se we will give one and all a chance to digest this idea and start talking detail.

Part of the effort should also be fuel donations, for the guys who want to support the cause but cannot run due to budget constraints.. No pitching with an M3 asking for fuel money though.

We will get to the detail a bit later, this is not going to happen overnight, and when we do it, we will be making a statement.
