Steering control mini overhaul advice please!

Hi all, I have a 320D E46, 2004 F/L model, with some nifty original M3 mags (ek se). I recently had its 170k service done and they told me the tie rod ends were a bit worn, so I am looking to get some to install or have installed at the 175k service (yes I service every 5000kms), especially since the bigger/heavier wheels apparently can cause a slightly higher wear ratio. I have read heaps about it but much of it is overseas stuff and thought I'd look for some SA advice. Some say the inner rods should not really need replacing but it can't hurt to do them of course, but outers are most important (naturally). Also there is talk of wishbone bushes etc. that are recommended to be replaced. Naturally alignment must be done afterwards (some people do it by feel/markings -:thinker: )

I don't want to spend too much, but my steering does feel a little loosey goosey, so my intention is to replace inner & outer tie rod ends, as well as any bushes up front that are recommended for replacement. I have heard that replacing the actual wishbone is also an option but expensive! I don't want this to cost more than R2000 total if possible for the full front-end-tighten-up job. I like a firm suspension/steering feel so some recommend the powerflex bushes, what else is out there/recommended?

At the same time I want to replace my brake pads (fronts with sensor), anyone know of the best price I should pay for a set?

Lastly, if anyone can recommend a shop who could do all this for me, along with a minor lube service (175000km service), would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for being a n00b, my 1st BMW ever and only had it for 6 months but lovin' it!

As far as the brake pads go, if you are not too far away bemows in PTA sell bilstein pads, and the prices aren't bad (A full set of pad for my 330 came to R1k, just the front ones where R350)
