Update star date: 19th May 2013
E34 - Got a replacement DWA4 module – Dad plugged it in, Lights and horn went mad, arrrgh crap!
Reset all, - got car to start, no alarm lights etc., but no windows, sunroof and electric seats working. Damit! - I have a habit of driving with the roof or window open.
We have find some diagrams and bridge the system.
Getting the boot sprayed tomorrow, paint has faded soo badly now.

E39 - Remove the thermostat from big blue. Took it for a heavy test, to check if this was the problem, yip. Was quote a grand for a replacement unit! I think will drive without a thermostat, it doesn’t get that cold down here anyway.
Found a new development area with some empty traffic circles – hmmm I can feel my evil horns, had some fun - no further comment - may need new tyres!

Sadly I have to sell one of the V8’s to make room for a VW Caddy life or BMW Touring, I have not decided yet , but think more on a 3 series E46 or E39 , But really would love a E34 – I know they are super rare here. Anyone knows of one that is for sale even if it is in rough state.

Well today I can tick one thing off my bucket list, only 9 999 999 other things to do
Put Big Blue on the track as the local track had an open day
Also got the play with the Gopro as well
It was funny, need to sort out the shocks if I’m going to that again with BB
Has power for the straight but handles like a taxi in the corners
Next time, taking the Z4 to see what that can do.
Bug is biting harder, I think a race car is on the cards soon

Thanks to all involved in organising today’s event
Had a good time, looking forward to the next one!

Warning – this is A Rant:
I wish some people would learn to park / drive properly

Had some “person” park their red polo so close to my car, that when the passage got out the passage side he opened his right up against my driver’s door, while I was in the car.
I had to move my car to other bay so I could get out; I left wheels where already up against kerb on the left side.

Thank goodness you only “drive” a polo God help us if you drove a SUV!

But the looks I got as if it my fault, was the cherry on the cake
Because you cannot park – damit!

Maybe I should drive the old 540 battle tank again, at least I feel safe in that and don’t care if it gets a few snitches and dents
Rant over -

A Sad day
Dad was driving to the shops this morning and an “idiot” in a White Bakkie; jumped the stop sign, and slammed into Big blue.
Dad is Okay !!!!
Cars can be replaced not people!
Turns out, bakkie’s owner has not paid the insurance for months and brother was driving, with NO LICENCE!
Does not look to bad, but front end is bent and pushed over to the right, and steer system is broken/jammed, tie rods snapped
Motor and gearbox ok

RIP Big Blue and thank you for all the fun memories and looking after Dad today.
Picture in Sad day
