Ok so a little update:

Fuel pump was changed.

Car was strapped on the dyno last night. Same dyno as used before
( Autotrix DBN)

Mods : JB4, BMS Intake, Pump Fuel.

249kw & 492 nm All wheel power.

Done on map 5

Not the highest, but happy this car has improved.

At least it's a start and the gremlin was sorted. when I was forced to do the recall the "new" HPFP flowed less than the old.

Just proves that mods only work best on a healthy car.

@Devzo make my car look new again plz:rollsmile: then we run the GTI:joy:
@Rayzor , that's 100% correct. No point in modifying if a car is not healthy.

Car will soon be brought back to stock:fencelook:

Update Time:rollsmile:

So just before getting married my dam charge pipe blew:argh:
All mods out, car was towed to BMW, fresh new charge pipe installed.

Then im looking at the jb4, all those wires that need to be connected, not feeling it. Researched something that doesnt involve any wires so came across racechip ultimate.

Spoke to them, they were helpful, very simple product with a 30day money back guarentee:thumbs:

Bought the Racechip, fitted it.
Felt good.

Time for dyno run.......

Mods : Racechip Ultimate, default settings. (Not too familiar with setting this thing)
Octane : Pump Fuel

Car spinning on the dyno, results

235wkw 476nm

Runs were done on the same dyno. All readings are given at the wheel

So unless jb4 Stage 1 can beat this,i think this may be the most easist pnp on the market:fencelook:

Would appreciate any feeback or swearing

Just had a look at the Race Chip website.

Very neat unit I have to say and installation does look easier than a JB.

The price of the Race Chip Ultimate and the JB4 seems to be around the same price region.

Does the race chip allow you to do the following:
Does the race chip allow you to log your runs?
Does it have the features similar to that of the JB4 with the various maps, etc?

Please let me know if you gonna be selling your JB4 unit i would be interested to it:thumbs:

Do you have an N55 with B harness?

Don't think I would ever use the Race Chip sorry. Would rather go for something with a history of R&D

it has a slot for the usb, for updates not sure about logs.
I have the jb4 stage 2 iso, do not like iso.
I am keen to see stage 1 jb4.

In terms of features, jb4 has much more fancy features.
Racechip does have about 7 different maps.

Drive quality? Racechip is much more smoother, gear changes are smooth .

I am taking this as a learning curve, always have the jb4 to fall back on.
