I visit Boetie Budler's shop often and saw the build up of that E30, it is an absolute monster. 3.6lt S38 engine with a monster turbo, so much attention has gone into this car, no wonder its running the times it is. btw, I was there yesterday and a few changes were being made, should see quicker times next round.

Spoke to the Budler boys this week. They're officially the quickest car in Africa with a normal H-pattern box. No funny dog/sequential/airshift jobbies. They're also gunning for the quickest time of 8.6, held by the Nissan bakkie of Richard Jordaan. Us beemer enthusiasts should consider going through and showing some form of support for them. The Honda Club has organised a convoy, as did the VW Gti Club and the Twincam Club. Whaddaya say, boys?

I am locked and loaded to go. If my turbos are on in time we will see the first 11sec 335 in SA. If not I might brake it to make a 11.
