I'm so keen for this Firi! Its gonna be epic!

Guys if its too expensive to track your car then don't. There will be those that can afford it and will. But dont let that put you off. Come and socialize with the guys! It's gonna be a really really epic day with some epic company and you'll have a change to be a part of something really cool!

Rob bud think you missing the point a bit, I'm pretty sure there are a couple of us who could pay R1300.00 to track our cars if we wanted to but choose not to because we feel it's unreasonable, that's the point we trying to get at here. It is going to be a cool day and I will most probably be there but it would be nice if the track fee was better value for money.

Firi if I was not otherwise occupied I would have showed up for the social - sounds a like really cool idea. Hope you can pull it off

However I think what the BMW car club can take from this is that that we feel their price is not fair compared to other similar events. I can attend 2 almost 3 track days for the price of one, value for money is the issue.

You can explain as much as you want why it is so high - bottom line it is about fun cause body really cares who goes the fastest.

Honestly no hard feels, just my 2c

It's all about the celebration. Don't track the car if you feel it's unreasonable. Others will, for the experience.

Hi Guys.

Please see a response from the Chairman Colin Van Son

'We run an official club that is recognized and to an extent endorsed by BMW AG and BMW SA under the International Council of BMW Clubs and Motorsport South Africa. For that reason, we are held to certain standards and legislative requirements when hosting events of the nature that we do. If you have participated in one of our events in the past, you will know very clearly the difference between what we do and what everyone else does. Our entry fees are based on a 'break even model' after all sponsorships and costs are accounted for. As a non-profit organization we aim only to provide our members, and in the case of this event other BMW fans who have not joined our family, professionally run and safe events with as little risk as possible to human life and to material property at as reasonable a cost as possible. If you would like to enquire as to what these costs are and why we adhere to all legislation governing public events, you are welcome to attend our AGM.'

Good Day Gentleman.

Trust you all had a good Weekend.

The events Committee was discussing over the weekend, and we feel that the #NEXT100 Thread and Event has lost a lot of steam due to the various differences in opinions with regard to the event, in particular the Track Day part of it. We have learned some valuable lessons over the past few weeks with regard to a possible future track day if we were to hold one, and none the less we would like to thank all parties, Members and BMCC for their valuable input and dedication to making it a great event.

In order to put it back on track, and focus on our Mission for the Event, We would like to Appeal to A mod or Admin, to not CLEAN UP the thread, but dissect it into 2 threads. The Tracking Part of the event, with its list of attendees and comments in one thread, and the social part, IE the African logo formation and the INTEDED BMW FANATICS display to be put up into another thread with the relevant Title.

We would to apologise to mods and admin for this extra work, and also express our gratitude for all the hard work behind the scenes.

pricing is not bad if you already have an MSA licence... if you are paying for a day pass then it gets expensive...

in general I find MSA events better run with more staff on hand
I have also been to track events that are Non MSA and the marshaling has been down right scary with only luck preventing serious incidents

for me I wont be going back to non MSA events unless I know it is properly run
it is not worth the risk and I would rather pay a little more

Im not saying that a Non MSA event cant be safe just that the MSA puts rules in place that have to be followed so you are guaranteed good safety measures unfortunately this also adds cost
