My point exactly, the reason why it was featured, is cause its the bosses car from S&S.
I dare any of you to email them with your cars specs and see if it gets featured.
Does anyone have a car that is feature worthy?
No disrespect Coisman but I think you talking a bit of kak if they asked you for money to be featured.
Did you build the car with the hope of having it in the magazine? It seems like the rejection has cut you deep. Cars featured in these magazine is relative to the readers demands. They get all sort of fan mail etc and they obviously feature cars that is in their best business interest. Maybe at the time the Vtech's where outplayed to death who knows what there decision was.
If you have any pics of the car why not make a thread and we can judge if we would like to have that car be on of probably eight cars that get featured per month.
Sabretooth tiger said:Whats with you guys nagging like this? I have been buying SNS for years now, myself and my son stack the old issues in crates, and it made for nice reference guides when I still used to play with my sentra.
Its a great mag, so if it is not for you, why the nagging? Buy another magazine. You don't see me carrying on about another mag, that I don't like, I simply don't buy it. So what if the binding was different on the latest issue, yeah, I was also like "what the heck?" But some may like it, I cant expect to have my way every issue.
Show me a magazine that will feature us on a page for our Fanatics Branding.
Come on e guys, if its not for you, let it be, why step on people who worked hard to get their magazine to where it is, also I don't see any other magazine actively involved in SA motorsport, and the promotion there of.
Krutch said:Boycott it? If you feel you must, who's to stop you? Why would you wanna, especially when we've featured three BMW Fanatics events (could be more)?
There are plenty other BMW fans who still buy the magazine, fans from othere forums and that aren't part of any forums at all. That will never change.
As for what's changed - nothing with the magazine. I think it's that while the magazine has been around, many of the readers started off as youngsters and they're now older and have moved on in life. The magazine still caters for that target market, and while things have expanded over the years, many have still outgrown the magazine. It's not a bad reflection on the magazine or the readers, it's the cycle of things.
Thanks to those who have been supporters for years, and thanks to those who were and aren't anymore, you've all gotten us to where we are today.

rhett, the last time I bought a S&S mag was the issue 90, march 2009, because of this problem.
My Honda was the first in the country to have the Lexus type import lights, and they were in carbon fibre, had full coil-over suspention, that cost me =/-R4500 in 2004, Mugen racecams, custom intake, polished and ported, full freeflow&exhaust, custom built by Speedspot, Dastec chip. Full ICE install, 2 of everything, amps, subs, 6x9's, supertweeters, only had 1 shuttle install, pushed 134db's. Full Veilside bodykit with carbon trim, carbon badges, and carbon interior trim...
I could go on, but the fact is, the closest I got was the readers rides in issue 39, and the only reason why I kept on buying the mag up to issue 90, was to finish my Tazz on the magazines when you stack them on the shelf.
So, I really don't think my comments are uncalled for, and my statements ring true, and that's how I feel, and thats my oppinion, and... Rant over!![]()
