Guys... being a multi-racial couple (me white aka as 'dutchman' or 'boere', my wife indian aka 'hot samoosa' or 'chilli coconut') we often get to deal with inadvertent comments etc. The one thing we have learned is f@#$k all the sensitivities and just chill. People hardly ever mean harm... it's just become so stiff... cherish don't banish!

personally getting sick and tired of all the racism kak in the papers and the country, was in a restaurant on saturday and a black guy walked in with his white girlfriend, what actually drew my attention to them was that everybody else were throwing comments and funny looks in there direction,if that hadnt happened wouldnt have noticed.
it doesnt bother me at all and me and the familly just carried on with lunch

Eish............ I’ve been reading the posts.....let me first get it out there that I am an Indian, and I believe a mountain has been made out of a mole hole here.

Yes the guy may have been out of line, but I do not believe that he had any ill intentions and well done to him for apologizing to the offended members.

I know that not one Indian person here on the forum can say that that they have not used some sort of racial stereo typing against their own race or another whether it be in a joking, sarcastic etc manner (he who has not sinned cast the first stone), we can watch Russell Peter, Trevor Noah etc and have a good old laugh at the many cultures and race groups even our own, oh but beware if you do the same and you are not a comedian by profession. Where is the sense in that?

It seems to be acceptable when people of the same race to use racial stereo typing or racist remarks within their own race groups because of the understanding of the culture, use hip hop culture as an example. The great poet of our generation Tupac once said that people of his race group need the start respecting each other before things can change.

Look at my thread http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=37778 were I recently sold a Black berry to a forum member there are quite a few racial stereo typing comments there , about 2 pages worth, but it’s okay……………..why because they were all Indians posting comments .
So where do you draw the line.
