Hey guys

Heres my dads bike collection:

Will give you a tour of the bikes and what they are:

Yamaha R1:

This bike is a 2001 model. Is currently one of Yamaha's fastest bikes on the road and much like the other bikes is only used every few months for a 300Km route that is achieved in an hour and a half. :doublesho The R1 is the blue bike on the right hand side.

The next bike is a Kawasaki ZX14 00. It is currently Kawasaki's fastest motorbike and is apparently the worlds most powerful production motorbike. To put this bike into perspective: 0-100 in 2.1 seconds :argie::devil:

This is the rear end of the bike and the blue bike behind the red one is also the Kawasaki.

The red bike you see is a Buell Firebolt. Basically the head designer at Harley Davidson quit and started a company called Buell. The combination? A Harley Davidson super bike. This bike was the easiest to clean and polish. The quality is top class and everything is so neat.

The bike is pure genius. Belt driven with twin exhausts under the bike. The tank is fake and the fuel actually goes into the bikes frame. The oil goes into the swing arm for the back wheel and is perfectly balanced. My favourite bike.

The next bike is a Kawasaki Zx14 00 GTR. Basically its the blue bike but its the touring version. It has side panniers and is slightly detuned with a better riding profile. Larger visor and is still very much a sports bike. I was asked not to polish it as it is brand new and was treated at Kawasaki.

The silver bike on the right is the Tourer and the blue bike in the background is the Yamaha R1.

Both Kawasaki's are fitted with "Two Brothers" Exhaust pipes that are designed especially for both bikes.

The last and in my opinion worst bike is the BMW R1200 GS Adventure. I dont have many pics of it and to clean it was awful. The styling is extremely fussy and you dry one area come back a minute later its wet again. :detailer:

Oh.... I dont have pics of it at the moment but my dad also recently added a Suzuki B-King to his collection. The B-King is his favourite and has the Hayabusa engine

Ironically only yesterday my dad was on the BMW Adventure and had a lady in a BMW exactly like Freeriders changed lanes in front of my dad in the traffic. He locked up and had it not been for the engine mounts and boxer engine he would have a broken leg now... But instead locked up, put the bike sideways and used the engine heads to bounce off the BMW and still remain on the bike....

Damage to BMW motorbike: Two minor scratches on the metal plate on the engine.

Damage to 3 series: Bye Bye left hand side of bumper. :spit:

I was actually driving behind the BMW when it happened so saw it all happen... Not nice. But nothing happened to him. Lady driving the BMW didnt even ask to change numbers... She just apologized and drove off.

So if anyone ever wondered what happens when a BMW bike tries to screw a BMW car up the rear its rather simple. The bike simply bounces off :)

Thanks Fuzzy. Will pass that on to my dad

My dad is bike crazy whereas I am car insane. I have no interest in bikes as such. I prefer a R8 over a superbike any day of the week.

Tell your Dad I am a beeeg R1 fan, thus my addition to the family!

The adrenalin rush on a bike is different to that of a car! Its is totally awesome and at the same time like going on the highest, fastest rollercoaster in the world!!

Scary actually!

Thanks Hellas

Agreed Fuzzy.

I remember last year we used the R1 to go into Town on a Saturday morning and on the way home my dad wheelied it up Wynberg hill from the bottom to the top. I was absolutely terrified and yet when he does the same speed in the Porsche it doesnt faze me. He can put the GTI sideways in a corner as he has done before and I just laugh. But dont dare do it on a bike. :dropjaw:

Since he did that I have refused to get onto the ZX1400 (faster than the R1 etc by far) and will only go on the BMW if he begs me and offers me money :nono:

Thanks Don.

No doubt he will give you the "tour" on Sunday if you are able to pick me up and stay for coffee afterwards. He will also show you a highly illegal video as filmed and sold to the BBC of him at Scarborough and along Gordons Bay with a camera strapped to his helmet :spit:
