Software On my 325ci

Hi guys

i am going to do software on my car.Shaun from tune tech gaurantees
12kw on the wheels i am scared of breaking my car though.Do you think i could possibly break or damage anything on the car after software??

I'm not an expert but here is my take on it. An engineer will likely include some margin in his designs, not sure how much, but thumbsuck 10% seems about right. Experts might know better. Since a 12KW increase represents less than 10% of your engine power (it does make more than 120 doesn't it? ) I doubt it'd be a problem. For example, the difference in performance at the coast compared to up north is easily in the same ballpark.

But don't take this for the gospel truth...

Very true plonkster the diff between coast and here is about the power il make here with the software but what about when i go down to the coast??

And i still wana service my car at BMW are they going to reset the Software to stock every time.I mean if there is an error they need to reset will it reset the whole map?Would i have to remap everytime i send the car for a service?

I spoke to tune tech and budler motorsport and savv speed

I got three different answers.


tune tech-he says he can flash my ecu and load new software il get 12kw ATW

Budler-Says software wont make a difference il wont get any power gains from it.

savv-He says that my car will reset it self so they cant load software.

i am so confused was really excited about it.:bawling:
