That's not good! Very lucky this didn't happen at open road speeds!!!

Its not cool at all! Yeah, it would not have been pretty if it happened at highway speeds :nonono:

Please let us know if it was a failed bush or incorrect fitment, because I'm thinking of rather getting M3 bushes when I change both my control arms...

That looks bad and it looks like it wasn't fit properly!

So do u think its the people who fit it to the car or the people who made the bush (ie pressed it into the housing)?

One of two things could have happend, either there was a factory defect which caused this to happen! Or they did not press fit the thing properly and it popped out!

Hopefully one of there more experienced guys will have a better answer for you!

Thanks man! I also think it has to be one of those things, I have no experience with these things. The place who made the bush said I must bring my control arm too because they need to press the bush into the arm. Now I have to remove the control arm, hopefully its not a difficult job :argh:

poly parts bushes are kak... i had some on my car they also only lasted about a year but they did not pop out like that... its scary...

now have powerflex bushes fitted no issues at all and they way smoother than the polly parts ones i had... rather pay more and get proper bushes its not worth the risk :(

I sell the powerflex ones:

R 640 normal centered type
R 760 for the eccentric type for added caster

Indeed it does look bad.

Question is if it wasn't fitted properly, would it have ripped or tore out like that ???

Guetzer are the e36 ones cast into the lollypop like the e46 ones?
in that case it cant be an install error, but a design flaw or manufacturing fault...

Yeah they are cast into the lolippop just like the e46 ones. I not going to use those poly parts bushes anymore, kak bushes...

Can i fit the Powerflex bushes myself without any press and without having to remove the control arm?

you will need to press the powerflex ones into the lollipops :( if you have the old ones from before the polyparts ones you can just take them somewhere to have them pressed... after that its a very easy DIY :)

I currently dont have any e36 lollipops on hand or i would have pressed them in for you...
