Further to my post in the wanted section I am going to order my self a set of CSL replicas. The force is so strong with them I can not resist any longer.

Just take a look at this post on cutters and see how his car looks on CSL's (granted he has put on genuine BBS's) but with the correct spacing it looks fantastic....:praise:

Question is, I am looking at a set from maxmotorsport click here

but I am worried that they might not have the dish at the rear that the BBS have. Does anyone have pics of these reps on an E46 M3 so I can have a better understanding of what they will look like compared to BBS?

See BBS:

and see reps from online dealer (they look like they have a deep dish but not sure if they have used an image of real BB's):

Check with them for what "J" the rears are. You should be looking at 9.5J minimum, for a decent dish or at least to differentiate them for the fronts.

if you want reps get the VMR's... or source oem, but steep on the pockets.

The guys internationally do the best mods on their M3's...

how much are the VMR's? and do they look as good as if not better than the reps I am looking at?

Also will I be able to use my same tyres that are on my OEM 19's? Or will I have to go to 265 at the rears?

Have you considered the 19" Competition wheel that BMW offers on the current M3's?

Very very sporty IMHO

none of the reps are close IMO, especially not when it comes to the concave, but even the design is different, especially on the fronts.

I would like to be a snob and say get OEM, but they are rare as hell 2nd hand, some of us just got lucky :)

The stuff max motorsport sells is utter garbage, it does not look even close to what a CSL wheel should look like.

Last time I priced CSL wheels from the dealers there price was just over R6k for one of the rears (total should be around R26-27k for a set), personally I would just save up for this, and if in the time you are saving up a second hand set comes available, then all the better.

Hi Guys,

So what are the VMR's priced like in SA?

Hi Legacy,

Not sure I am able to find VMR's in SA. Might have to bring them in myself.

What is the general take on these? Also no dish like the OEM?

Thanks
