Valve stem Seals. Around R3500 to do. Dont know about bearing etc. Had same problem on Gopher but traded before i had to fix it.

please advise where you got the controll arms for R800. i called goldwagen they quoted me R1500 each and bmw menlyn quoted me R4500 each.:yuck:

hi Cois. no Jacques quoted me R5100 ex vat for the valve stems and R1500 for both the conroll arms.

the quote i got is from a guy that did my corsa's head about 2years ago.

So my e46 318i has been puffing...and felt underpowered...
after reading and consulting..i decided to take a chance with the decat...
car is pulling much better....way better...but the downside is the smoke....
idling at the robot and pulling off is a nightmare....just SMOKE all over...oil smelling SMOKE...checked my tailpiece...oily mixture....
so i need to do my valve stems...and guides (once checked) car is on 176000 so i guess it's as good a time as ever....

UPDATE: Collected my car yesterday....Seals done, guides done, engine mountings done...and boy does she pull :rollsmile:
Jeez i guess i've been deprived all these months....car is smooth & quiet idling...and just comes to life as you floor it! Very Happy with her :inlove:
