smoke clear corners

auto style had them for sale with a set of projectors but cant be bothered to let me know if they can get them for me separate...

I think he meant left or right in the pic that you posted, ie do you want the chrome look (left) or the matt black (right) one in smoked.

thought the title of the thread made it clear so was a bit confused by the question yes i want the ones on the right ive seen the chrome ones on a car and they look horrible but the smoke ones look good because they tie in well with the black on the inside of the main lights and so make it look like they are one piece

Oh, that makes sense, by smoked I thought you where referring to lenses, as smoked usually refer to blacked out lenses. But I have to agree the black ones would look much better.

i was thinking of getting oem ones and tinting the lenses but these look way better and give the lights more depth

Thats the nice thing about the f/l, there clear OEM indicators

ye they got it right with the f/l they did not do a good job with the pre f/l on the indicators

Yeah, even the way that the indicators are mounted is better on the f/l, always good to see that they are improving the design, it just sucks if you don't have the improved design

im sure intentional some times...often you see a new car that is ugly as fuck because the introducing a new idea then when the new model of that car comes out its perfect a good example of this is the round lights on the e class Mercedes

guess its just good marketing they will take a knock in sales fro the ugly one but it will get people used to the idea then when the new one come out the sales will jump up again and they know there will be people that will buy a Mercedes no matter how ugly it is...

the e60 front lights really got to me they remind me of eagle wings which just does not go with bmw...
the e90 cleaned them up by chopping the ends off to make lights that look good

I never really had a problem with the e60 as long as it had the body kit. But if I have to be totally honest most of the newer bmw designs (post e60) don't do much for me (1's excluded). The BMW'ness seems to be coming back with the new 5, but I still think the older BMW's just look so much better.

i think the e92 coupe is the best looking bmw to date you cant really fault it on anything i also love the 6 series but its a bit big for me and there are one or two design flaws here and there.

Yup, the coupe is definitly on of the better looking cars, also an example of how bmw got their design better again, but now with things like tie 5 GT ,7 and others I'm wondering where they are going with the huge grilles, I know its the distinctive feature of bmw, but why so big? and the noses seem to high. But this is of course only my opinion.

ok so a auto style still has not got the corners i want i have decided to smoke my amber corners in the mean time... could i use the tamiya smoke paint (i have some in a box somewhere) or do i have to tint it with vinyl?
