what is the car valued at according to your insurance? can you not push to have it written off? I believe that if the valued exceeds 40% they write off now, not sure how true this is.

yeah i heard that too ... definetly going to push to have it written off... yes car is insured through ZURICH and they insisted on it being taken to a bmw accident repair center ... car is currently sitting at zambesi bmw repair center pretoria... will wait n see what happens ... assesor still didnt see the vehicle ...

hi yulesen .. yes back smash is very tricky ... altough he admitted he was at fault ... i hit him from the back , so guess we wait and see waht happens .. if the write it off which i hope so the NEW X1 will definetly be the replacement ..

oh shame good luck, I used to be insured with them, my mother is still insured with them, and they recently decided to fix her taz after an accident instead of write it off. R55k spent on the repairs on a car valued at 70k

Hard Luck with the accident. If your insurance decides to write off your car, just make sure you do not have shortfall with your finance house coz u will still be liable for that.
