75% of Value car is written of. 140-160k for damage. As I know they have to redo the whole dash as well.

That roadd I can c in the background looks very familiar. I am in JHB as well and hate driving around all the bloody construction. Was raining this AM and had several scares. One good thing that has come of this post for me is that I have forgotten that I dont have the Addcover on the insurance shortfall. Just got of the phone with them to have it added.

glad you did ... it happened on the r21 just after the irene off ramp !!! glad you added the addcover .. i can clearly remember asking them to add the car rental option when i called them to insure the vehicle now they claimed its not on the policy ... lady i spoked to no longer working there so yeah im down to using my wifes car for now ...

I am pretty sure there that will be a write off, if you touched the chassis, its gone, but even those airbags means new dash and stuff.

Also if the car is under motorplan, they can only use dealer parts, if not they can use aftermarket stuff.
