Slow Accelaration

Hi, i have a 318i 2003 touring triptronic. The acceleration is slow, i would put my foot down on pull away and for about a 3 centimeters the car would start moving...any ideas what the problem is?

the problem is that its an auto 318i. my mom has a 318i 2005 auto and when putting foot flat on pull off it take a few cm's & seconds to get moving but once the revs reach 3500 it pulls strong

Its the lag waiting for you to bolt on the turbo.
