slight Performance drop e90 320d

Hi guys...

I'm not sure if its just my imagination or not, but I noticed some performance decline on my 320d e90 as i was trying to push it really hard lastnight but wasn't really happy with the outcome. It wasn't responding the same way it used to or the way it should. It felt like it was carrying some heavy weight or it was pulling something. Can it be a that the turbo is on its way out, or can it be that I filled the tank at a different station than the one i normally use? I've always filled my tank with Shell Fuel, but i filled with engen yesterday...

It could be the fuel. My 330d gets effected with different fuels also. What you should also do is check for boost leaks and perhaps remove and flush the intercooler.

Thanks Waseem, I've asked the guys at BMW Midrand to check it out as i was panicking a bit, so im taking it in on tuesday. Also wanted to utilize my MP as it will expire very soon.:tiptoe:
I also wanted to fill up at my usual filling station and see if it will make any difference.

Get MP to replace boost pipe seals, egr, intake manifold, vacuum hoses, crank case breather, check Turbo and check inter cooler for leaks.

I took one of their service consultants for a drive and he said there was nothing with car, but i insisted on booking it in so that they can do a proper check up! I've heard a saying that "BMW will Never Replace it if its not broken". So will they allow replacements of what you have listed above?

If the egr is still operational the chances are higher that the egr and intake manifold will have a build up of soot. Normally a clean will do but they find it faster to replace. If there is any oil sweat around the boost pipes they need to replace the seals. Your car probably has the vortex breather but if it's the other type they should replace it. According to the service history on my car these things were done on maintenance plan. Perhaps the previous owner kept bugging them. You could also try your luck with a different dealership
