Uber back from the dead! Sup buddy!!!

Mr Gizmo sir.

Good and you?
Doing well.

So no more E34 Mafia, now its Sons of Anarchy? Traded a yard full of cars for a yard full of bikes?

LOL

Still have the yard full of cars, the E34 Mafia lives on :cartel:.

Bought the one bike and the other came with it. Going to use it to work and back. Driving a V8 such short distances doesn't help the fuel consumption.

OI!!!!!!! :RedNo:

That will be known as sons of a naartjie please.

Any speak of that there fake Mc will result in fines being issued with payment required in form of ice cream. :cartel:

I actually get a bit of an angry eye twitch when I hear about that T.V show.

I am still paying off my attorneys bills for trip to court last year pertaining to my youngest which saw her attorney bringing out pics of me standing next to someone with an SOA shirt on.

Allegedly I am a biker gang member with close affiliations to the sons of anarchy - yes, he mentioned it in court.

I nearly died when I heard and saw that. I am still not sure if I was shocked, amazed, dumbfounded or completely raged with the fact that someone could be so utterly and blatantly stupid.

are you serious!!
:biglol: what a chop

Well this is the bike I bought my son, but all it does is sits in his man cave unless I take it out for a ride, so you can say this has defaulted to be mine now as I got the E46 instead of a new Yamaha MT-09

Great little bike to ride, perhaps I need to sell it and buy something that can actually carry me at a decent pace. This one only has around 1400kms on the clock......

2011 Yamaha R6 with 12000km. Akrapovic pipes. Manufactured in 2006... Go figure how it remained unregistered for so many years. Want to sell it now though...

Did you buy it from Honda Cayenne? If you did then it was imported and its only registered 2011 because its the first time it was registered in South Africa.

Yup, most likely a grey import

Don't be worried about it being a grey import, Cayenne Honda like to call them parallel imports which is the same thing it just sounds better than Grey import, At the end of the day if you goto Yamaha you will be able to get all the parts you need if you drop the bike or get in an accident or need to service etc. Grey imports get a bad rep because it threatens the market of local distributors.

Thing is, if you goto Yamaha to buy a R6 in South Africa you get ripped off like you wont believe, you will pay over 130k if I'm not mistaken for a R6 where as if you goto Honda Cayenne you can pick one up for +-75k with less than 1k km on the clock which in my books is basically brand new.

I bought 2 Yamaha R6 from them both were imports and I never had any issues with regards to licensing or hassles with the engines etc. Its the only place I would actually buy a bike from. You get excellent service and the selection of bikes is just awesome.

I picked it up used on my auction floor. All registration paperwork is in order (says its a 2011) and yes, Cayenne guys did confirm with the VIN number ...the manufactured year model vs year of reg. Just sat on their floor as new til it was sold. Seems like a common thing that goes on with bikes?! Spares & service is normal.. nothing out of the ordinary.

A grey vehicle is a grey vehicle, I didn't say anything negative about it.
As long as you know what it is and the consequence and effect it has then it's fine.

Certain bikes really only make sense to buy if they are grey imports, heck they were pretty much the only way to get into road bikes for a beginner with all the 400cc imports from Japan years ago.

I remember these days. The big grey importer in Marlboro for example. Plenty of CBR, VFR, RVF (my fav) 400's.... if you were a Honda fan... plus plenty of others.

Almost got a RVF there... but eventually got a CBR900RR through a buddy... :)

Man those RC RVF's were cool! :cartel:

I learnt on 2 grey bikes - Honda Bros and 400 Bandit
Man, that Bandit was beastly fast (or so it felt back then) :smilebounce:

This little KTM looks awesome! Have to start thinking of what to get the little chop in the coming years, and I am more and more leaning towards a KTM like this....
...whereas I have always been a Honda fan!
