Should I buy it or not?

Hey everyone, a buddy of mine wants to sell his BMW E34 535i rolling chassis to me for R5000. It needs a new engine, gearbox, rear window and a lot of TLC. So, I wanted to know from you guys if you think it's worth it to buy it and fix it up? Or will it just be a waste of time and money? Everyone is welcome to answer, I'd really apreciate it since I'm kinda a newbie.

For R35000 you will get a relatively clean 535.
For you to get that car mobile you will spend R40k
As Devon said the only worthwhile items in that shell are the front sports seats

I would only buy it as a project if you want to swap something interesting into the engine bay otherwise it will be way cheaper to buy another e34 that is running

It is going to cost alot to get this running
