To be honest I am not worried about cars pulling away from me. In fact if I do mod I will be wasting my money as I don't race. Once in a while I do get the urge to play a bit but that is few and far between.

I mostly sit in the middle lane in the N1 doing 100 - 110 km/hr. Since I got the 335i nearly two years ago I got my first fine a month ago - 70 in a 60 zone.

When I thought the GTi was a stock G7 I was worried that there is something wrong with my car. So more my paranoia that I have a fault than someone being faster.

I do believe your car isn't as healthy as it should be, you said your break pedal is hard in the morning which implies that you have a vacuum leak, its this same vacuum pipes run your boost control as well which can give you that "non responsive" moment when you plant the accelerator pedal. The n54 is renowned for it responsiveness and what you telling us is counter what the car should be like.

Sorry for the hijack

Hi Kish

would you mind elaborating a bit more into detail with regards to the vacuum leaks using the same system as the brakes? My brakes feel as if the need to be bled which I will do but I would not mind replacing the necessary vacuum lines related as well.

thanks

Here you go B3rg and Freakazoid...

All these vacuum lines need to be changed as they get brittle with age.

Hot side vacum control

While you doing this also replace these going to your diverter valves (item number 16 in diagram)

Charge pipe vacum hose

lastly if your brake pedal doesn't respond to these items and still remains hard then you need to investigate these lines here, you probably have a leaky O-Ring in the piping.

Brake booster

Lol, it's just the sleeper effect that's all. The Lambo shouts it's performance while the Golf looks like any other Golf R.

The Lambo is V10 after all with dual clutch transmission.

I didn't say thats a GTI
