She's Gone...

So, 2-wks ago, I bid farewell to a beauty that got me hooked on the BMW brand.

Never have I driven a car with more presence. An awesome experience every time the i6 comes to life. Still kinda reeling post break-up:bawling: lol

As they say all good things must come to an end

Onwards and upwards boet!

This was actually the car that I've kept the longest - all to years of it lol. You'll be glad to know that I've joined the Diesel fraternity with its replacement.

I'll PM you a list of a few e39 items I still have lying around that you/chef may be interested in.

Agreed! Haven't taken any pics yet. 2012 LCI 330d M-Sport.

Low mileage, but boy does she need a lot of love. Having spent time as the family run-about, parking trolley knicks and scratches are the order of the day!!

Will post it up once I've had the time to do a proper detail

What rims are those

Thanks. Definitely demands attention lol.

They were Rondell 58's. I believe offered as an optional extra on the e38 7's and on some 5's back then. They're a similar design to the Style 42 bbs, though not splits, but bigger and a lot wider. 275 tyres on the rear if I remember correctly

Pic with some crude editing

I'm glad to say I rode shotgun in this car a while back

Congrats on the new wheels. I think we need to arrange a test drive and Subway lunch one afternoon sometime soon...

@ Gav - anytime buddy!

@Ralf - I certainly hope so, shes a rare find.

As for the new ride. Its a 2012 330d Msport Step. Almost my complete spec requirement - on Mplan, Black leather, Alpine White, Hifi Sound and SR. No Xenons, but mileage is good, mechanically sorted and importantly was at the right price.

Quick pic I snapped. Unlike the 5, planning on doing a build thread for this 1. As she is today:

This is sacrilege! When I first read the title I assumed the worst, that the car had been written off or something... But to sell it? For an E90? I ought to shove you into my boot and leave you there for a week...

I know you don't mean it bad Daaltjie. just sharing my 2c.
Not everyone has the same taste, else we would all be driving the same cars. While the e39 in my books is a awesome car, having owned 2 e90's I say to the OP, congratulations on the new cab. you got a great strong car there.
