Hi All
just like to introduce myself. as per my profile pic i have had a E36 M3 and recently bought a 330i E46 2004.

i have used zeemax auto before and was fairly happy with them but since 2007 i have not had dealing with them and wanting some advise as to who should be servicing the 330i

what would you advise on where i should take the car to get a service done. i am in CPT.

i have done a little research about who is who in terms of servicing BMW's
1. zee max auto
2. Haven motors
3. SMG

i have been advised that a inspection 1 needs to be done. prices vary from company to company and SMG being the most expensive.
has anyone else found another place or can advise of another company that i could try or if these are the options i should look at.
has anyone had dealings with any of these companies??

thanks guys :ty:

I would stay away from Brilliant mechanical works...all nice and professional over the phone until u take ur car there..
Go to SVG in Plumstead...straight opposite Chilli Bar...best service and after service i xperienced....always keeping you up to date and prices is reasonable....talk to Robin or to Robert.

They are Mini and Bmw specialist and their quality of work speaks for itself

I've never had a problem in the 3 years I've been taking my cars there, and so have other forum members. Always professional if there are issues and open and honest.

They also have arguably the best diagnostics equipment in cape town. Which can update your car with the latest bmw software.

It's unfortunate about your starter motor incident but you never went back so you cannot say they do not handle issues professionally and are only professional on the phone.

There will be good and bad stories about all workshops. And in my opinion it's how they rectify the f ups that really counts.

Remember these guys cannot inspect every job their technicians do. So its the above which really matters.

i must agree. i think someone somewhere would always have an issue with something as they might have had a bad experience. i still feel that Brilliant mechanical works is the way FOR ME to go. if i don't get good service from them then i will look into the other options. i still am thankful for all the comments post to this thread.
