Service Info Request

Hi all

I am hoping I can get some info. here for my upcoming service.

I have an F30 320i Automatic. It's a 2013 model.

It is going in to a service with current mileage at around 83000km. Any advice on things I should get them to check? My current MP was extended and will end in Feb next year, but I am not sure if I will hit another service before then, so I want to ensure if anything is worth making sure they check I get them to do it with this service. Especially something that can be sorted before it actually gives major visible issues.

A few things I have on my list so far above the normal service:
Window winder making a noise
Lights on auto stay on for a long period even in broad sunlight at around 8am
Would like them to check the shocks to ensure they ok or not.

Thanks

I can comment on the auto headlights - mine stays on permanently, took it to BMW few years back and after they tested the sensor, they said it's working within 'perimeters'. In 1 and a half years I had to replace 2 bulbs, 100% as a result of the always-on lights, luckily it's not xenons. I know I can switch it to manual, but don't feel like it.

That does not sound very good. Mine used to work properly up until about a month ago. I also have the non-xenon lights, but was thinking of fitting in LED headlights for a whiter brighter look. Any thoughts on this? for the LEDs I believe it comes in the full kit and one just removes the old globes and fits in the LED ones. I wonder if they will show up as a fault by the computer or not.

as long as they are canbus bulbs there will be no error

I would get them to check suspension ( control arms, tie rod ends etc)

I will keep the canbus bulbs in mind when I decide to go that route. I might just wait until next year though to avoid any issues with the MP. I hear various talks of BMW always looking for a way to find issues not to warrant the MP.

Thanks for the input regarding suspension parts. Will make a note on that.
