3500km to my next service. Car will be on about 108 000km, I baught it 2 weeks ago with full service history from BMW. So here is the question. I am a rep on the road and need to take it to some one relaible or BMW direct. Also what am I looking at spending for this service. I fitted 2 new tyres (Conti Sports contact for R1750.00) and noticed brakes pads will need to be done. Some advice . Cheers all.

I am based in JHB. West Rand.

How is you DIY skills? Brakes you can probably do yourself. Or you can ask our resident bmw guru dr gizmo to help you.

DIY Skills not to bad but need to start topping up on some basic tools. I found a nice site with pics of doing complete pad change but would prefer watching someone do it first before i brake something. I always tend to have a screw or 7 left after I do it. As matter of intrest I drove a Gets and put on 374 000km on the clock in 5 years so this is a nice upgrade for me.

Brakes are done with a flat screwdriver, an allen key and maybe a set of pliers. There should be plenty of fanatics in your area that will be willing to lend a hand.
