I was travelling back home on the N3 from Durban last night. Caught some truck tyres 30km out of Warden.
Family is all well, but i'm heart soar
Doesnt look like any structural damage, but worried about the bmw comment and know my spiltters will not be replaced.
Wonder if the panel beater can quote for bmw spiltters aswell. My car is E90 Lci.
You guys think that the bumper will be replaced or repaired?
And if replaced, any chance they can put on another sportier bumper?

I have often seen debris on the road, and cant understand why these lazy ass cops who just sit behind steering wheels sleeping most of the time don't remove them from the road.

In 2008, I was involved in a rollover from Dbn to GP in Villiers. I swerved to avoid a huge chevron board on the road and steering locked out, car rolled 3 times. Written off.

If these guys do their jobs and make sure the roads are free from debris, everyone would be thankful.

:thumbdo: sorry bud, glad that everyone is ok, do an insurance claim, and make sure the assessor sees the splitters are there and they should replace, the panel beater must make sure he includes it in his quote and they must make the car look like it did before, which means the same bumper etc...

Contacted my insurance,
Taking the car in tomorrow at nine to the accessor
my closest BMW approved panelbeater is Auto Alpina in Springs, did anyone use them before? Good or bad experiences
The other options was Club Motors in Randburg.
Im on the east rand.

Not sure if the clips are broken, see that the fog lamp is out aswell

sorry about what happened man .. but atleast family is safe ..

u asked if they would replace with sport bumper again? .. did u fit the sport bumper on?
reason being, they will only quote on new parts based on what the car was spec'd with from factory .. im not sure about ur splitters though .. i know with our e90 we specified with insurance about wheel change and aditional carbon spoiler at bmw's price ..

u car looks like an m-sport so they will replace with m-sport bumper, fogs, grills, side skirts etc ..

They are in Alberton but they do top work on their cars.

Hi there...that's a kak one but at least everyones ok...
My advise to you is that the damage does not seem that bad...have the car repaired by a non BMW approved agent....there are many awesome panel shops around...might seem crazy but when you want to trade or sell later you will be amazed what BMW will offer you for your car with a comment recorded even though it was repaired by them...this from experience...:thumbs:
