Schnitzer 6

Hi All,
Someone very kindly remarked that the 8 Series was far better looking than the 6 that perportedly replaced it. They also provided an un-flattering piccy of a 6.
I was in Maastricht in 2007 and saw the beauty that I have posted below. You can read about AC Schnitzer at http://www.ac-schnitzer.de/en/bmw-cars/. As you can see, the 6 CAN be beautiful and I am sure that I would not have thought twice if I was asked to swap my 8 for this beauty!!!

It is interesting what people like and what they don't like.

I often find people moaning that all cars look the same and then in the same breath saying that different looking cars are ugly.

What makes successful designing is the guts to put out something that goes against the trend. The 6 was such a car. And while I was disapionted when it first came out it has grown on me... but then I think the Z3 MCoupe is the most beautifil thing out. :thinking:

Bangels flame styling was heavily critised but you can see it in several new models including Mercs...

I think the standard 6 and m6 are epic concerning looks no need for any modding

The only thing I would change on a standard 6 would be to reshape the bootlid, so that it follows the line of the roof (have actually seen a pic of guy who did this to his M6, and it looked awesome beyond words)


In regards to this car, I would take the 8 over this one any day, as it has class, and not some ricey bits that looks like it was bought at autostyle (auto-lack-of-style to be precise).

I would keep the 8. You may never part with the 8. It is an icon and one of BMW's most beautifull creations. That said, The 6 is just as beautiful. You cannot the 8 and 6 along side each other to compare, as it two different worlds, each having it's own identity and appeal. The M6 is a beast, and I think you should get yourselve a 6 to compliment the 8. At least then he'll have a friend to talk to in the garage .

Personally I think the new 6, looks pretty hideous, something is just not right on that front end.
