Update:
Well I phoned the owner of the bakkie, to double-check if he had insurance etc.

Turns out, he has not paid the premiums for a while. And want to know why?
He claims my dad drove into his bakkie. :blab:
Hmmm – no comment!
Well I tell that was rubbish , you can see clearly, from the damage on the car and where dad stopped, who hit who., plus the bakkie failed to stop at the insertion
He said he has “sort out his insurance”
I said I’ll call again next week
So I ended the phone

Then called dad to get a copy of the police report – taken at the scene
Dad did so, with the help of a nice lady at the Gonubie Police station

Next call is to a lawyer, not playing this game!

Okay, so the owner of the bakkie was not involved in the accident, so how can he claim who is to blame, and the person driving the bakkie was unlicensed? Either he plays ball now, or yes, time to get a lawyer involved.

I have had the same problem with mi way insurence the other owner said he only gave the driver permision to go to the shop in his car that was nowhere near where the guy smashed my e90 Mi way could not do anything to the owner,I had to claim , the driver was also drunk , no licence , no insurence .......I still to this day hope his balls start itching and his fingers turn to fish hooks. They dropped the case eventually as they said the driver was unemployed and stayingg in a shack and the costs would not get claimed back , it cost me R5K excess and mi way R80K
