Thank you Mr Arbee. We try our best as you know.

The issues on the forum we all know cannot be solved by the staff if those who keep bringing up the past and the issues from the past refuse to move on and choose to rather post about it on the forum rather than actively solving it off the forum as they should.

The staff are not babysitters. I wish the grown-ups (erm...) would realise this.

Yeah very true! I guess it needs to start from the staff and work its way through the members. When staff are fueling the fire, whats the point of being grown up (uhhmm) about it...

Dejavu of note on this thread, some of the people on this forum like to remind of us of their lack of class. Fordkoppie and Gizmo are not one of them.

So you want to talk about class? Okay, how about a certain forum member that you call classy sells his M3 CSL right after he finds out it has subframe cracks, but he neglects to tell the new owner. Instead, he sells it to him at full price with a smile on his face, knowing full well the time bomb he has just left in the hands of the new owner. You call that class? I call that dishonest, and if that is the type of person you are defending, then it says a lot about you Splint.

This used to be a forum on like minded fanatics, friendships and the love of cars, now it's just too complicated and mostly about egos and politics. Split right down the middle and honestly not a fun place to be anymore. I have over 5000 posts to my name with 61 rep points, it speaks volumes of the type of member I have been, the contributions I have given to this forum. Filming your events, helping fund other members builds, organizing events and runs etc. Not many who are not an admin can say the same and it is a sad day to say that my time here at BMWfanatics has come to an end. You wonder why I haven't come to any of your events or filmed anything for you guys in a long time? This place used to be a great place to come discuss what you love, now on a daily basis I witness forum members going at each other or passing negative opinions on a subject they know nothing of. There is nothing but constant negativity here. This is no longer a safe place to share ideas and the love for BMW, but rather a free for all for those ill informed to post one's negative opinions and have a go at each other.

It was a good few years while it lasted. I truly hope this forum can someday get rid of the negative venomous energy that has infested it over the last year since Arbee left and handed the reigns over.

So, here is to the good times, the close friends I made, the dreamers and their awesome builds, the crazy midnight runs and the awesome track days. The MattQ's, the ZALeonard's, the Burgy's, the Coisman's, the Arbee's, the Nicks and Spiro's, The HerrBMW's, the UpNcoming's... The true good natured members that made this place the enjoyable forum it was for so long. Mostly all gone now but you need not wonder why.

I cant comment on anything regarding the Csl sale or any other 2nd hand information, my experience is based on personal interactions with fordkoppie, and I can't speak highly enough of him in "My first hand opinion"

With regards to the negativity on this forum, I 100 percent agree, it's not the place it once was. But then again judging by your post you are just as negative and basically a self fulfilling prophecy.

I never once mentioned you. You really sound bitter mate. I hope you get to the bottom of it.

You keep talking about venomous tongues, but here you are spewing false information about me yourself.....

You keep insulting me, yet I have always addressed you without any name-calling. You hardly know me, but if you did, you would have known that most of the things I post is usually light hearted tongue in cheek type of comments. You decided to make them personal.
You accuse me of being a keyboard warrior, yet I am all for speaking face to face. I am a firm believer in not hanging one’s dirty laundry out in public either. So sure – I would love to speak to you the next time we see each other so we can both set the record straight. Heck, lets even include Burgy so I can get the story from all 4 corners.....But, I have no interest in entertaining the other cheerleaders which there seem to be no short supply of.

I actually decided when this thread was split to just ignore it, because you are clearly on a mission, but since you decided to tackle my integrity, you leave me no choice to respond and defend myself.
Regarding the CSL - You don’t even know the person whom I sold my CSL to, neither do you know what has been said between myself and the buyer.

For your info – I sold that car, because I needed a bigger deposit for a house. I told the buyer that should he ever decide to sell the car in the future, he should contact me first, because I would really like to have it back IF I have managed to financially recover by that time. 3 years later he failed to do so, but that is a story for another time. Now you tell me – If I was so eager to dump my POS upon an unsuspecting buyer, why would I ever want it back if the deal was not transparent?

You want juicy details.... Here is another..... Not only was I aware of the subframe crack from day one, but the car hit a pavement before I got it. And even though I managed to fix most of the damage, the rack & pinion still had play. I also disclosed this to the buyer. You can believe it, or you don’t have to. But I was there, and know what was said – you weren’t.

Was the subframe and the rack an annoyance and costly repairs? Yes it was.... Did it put me or the buyer off from wanting to own the car??? It sure didn’t.

Getting back to the original message why this thread was split.. “You planning another engine rebuild anytime soon?”
You hinted at the chance of re fitting a supercharger to your car. I jokingly responded with the mindset of – “you have seen what happens, why would you do it again”? Your car is now running (hearsay) – Why would you put that in jeopardy by installing a SC again?
Yes I removed my response 1 minute after posting, because when I looked at it in retrospect, I did re-think about what it said, and the context in which it can be seen. This made me change my mind, and I tried to remove with the hope no one had seen it. So yes – It was in bad taste, and for that I apologize.

For my views and beliefs about the aspiration of an S54, I won’t apologize.

I'm sorry but I see absolutely nothing wrong with Crash's retaliation to something that he thought was a dig at him.
If that was intentional from Koppie, then he deserves the backlash from Crash.
If it was a legitimate misunderstanding, then both apologize and move on

Arbee – We have had our differences in the past as well, and thankfully we managed to work through them. I agree wholeheartedly with you that some of the remaining staff here ^^^^ should learn to grow up instead of constantly stirring and adding fuel to the fire.

The mere fact that this thread exists as a separate thread, points to the fact that some can’t wait for the opportunity to place me in bad light.

You know......

Looking back on all of this in this thread, its clear that the old idea of taking things too seriously comes into play here.

The problem with forums and also digital communication is people take them too seriously and then hide behind a screen and hope they never run into someone they just flamed on a thread.

Truth is, its a forum, its meant to be fun and easy going, don't take it too seriously or it becomes something which is both annoying and a chore.

Years ago, Tjopper and I were on another forum related to biking. That also saw a demise in membership and straight up catty fights.

BUT..... before the demise, there were social get togethers and trips out to E.T in abundance, before things got too serious.

We are all professionals and have our nine to fivers which require being serious.

Business dealings off the forum are just that. Keep it to that.

If one guy has work done by another guy, that's a private dealing out of the forum. Don't bring it back online because it ultimately will get nitpicked and pulled apart and faults in both stories will be found.

If one member needs to sort out business with another member, do what you need to do, if it involves "next level" then that is that but keep it off the forum.

Another bit of advice and take it from where it comes:

Making statements such as "if I catch you in the street" are dangerous.

Should something happen to the person that statement has been made towards, guess who they will come looking for?

As for running a successful social group of like minded individuals, my advice is to keep things democratic. One man, one vote.

I ride for one of the two biggest Mc's in the world. Democracy is what has gotten us this far for more than 60 years.

Just some advice, use it don't use it..........:blowheart:

In case you haven't noticed, neither myself or Karshan are mods anymore.
And if you read my message properly, you will see that I never said anything bad about you. Just that if his accusations were true, you were in the wrong. If not, then apologize and move on.

So before you want to single us out, read carefully Mr Ford is Lord

Kimeran, have you not been reading the major threads in the past 48hrs? Has none of it sunk in?
You still continue to throw insults like a child, be a man and treat your fellow fanatic with respect and dignity, please!
